There are several things you should consider when determining which college to attend: programs & degrees offered; scholarship opportunities; student enrollment; costs; and location. Not every college offers every program of student. Visit the websites of the colleges you are interested in and look over the degrees that they offer. This can help you to begin narrowing down your choices.
Another important aspect of choosing a college is college visits. Once you have narrowed down your choices, take some time to actually visit the campus. You want to choose a place that is a good match for your personality and interests. Begin visiting campuses at least by the spring of your junior year.
During Senior year, students will be able to complete at least ONE college application during Utah College Application Week (UCAW). UCAW is generally held in early October. Many Utah based Universities have priority deadlines beginning anywhere from November – February. Senior students are encouraged to complete an application during UCAW in order to meet priority deadlines. Students are encouraged to APPLY EARLY to meet priority scholarship and admission deadlines.
