Emotional & Mental Health Resources

Free Classes for Teens (DBT Skills)

The Jordan Family Education Center is holding a FREE 12 week group on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm beginning April 8th. It is run by School Psychologists Romney Stevens, Ph.D. and Christina Omlie.

Please call to register, or come join the class on April 8th.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a type of therapy that is specially adapted for people who experience emotions very intensely. DBT is especially effective for people who have difficulty managing and regulating their emotions. It has proven to be effective for treating and managing a wide range of mental health conditions.

Collaboration with Hope Squad

The Counseling team would like to integrate mental health awareness and discussion more into the culture of Bingham. In the past we’ve held mental health presentations one week in the fall during Language Arts classes, but this year we’d like to spread out the presentations throughout the school year and amongst all the departments. We will be collaborating more with the Hope Squad, to provide new ways to make mental health a priority amongst our students. We believe better mental health will mean better academic success.
