ACT

The American College Test (ACT) is accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the United States. It is based on information you are learning in high school. The information you provide when you register, along with your ACT results, can help you plan for life after high school.

There are two test options available to you:

  1. The ACT (no writing), which is made up of 4 multiple-choice tests in English, Math, Reading and Science.
  2. The ACT Plus Writing, which includes the 4 multiple-choice test plus a 30-minute writing test.

Students may take the ACT no more than 12 times total. Utah provides the test once, for free, to every student during their junior year of high school. This test typically takes place in February/March.
